WWI 1914-15 Star - 18th Canadian Infantry Battalion - Blackburn He was present at theWWI 1914 15 Star named to: 53430 PTE. P. BLACKBURN. 18 CAN. INF. Percival Blackburn was born in York, Yorkshire, England. He had considerable previous military experience having served in the 2nd Battalion Devonshire Regiment as well as the 22nd Oxford Rifles of the Canadian Militia. He joined the 18th Battalion CEF at Woodstock, Ontario in October, 1914 and served with that battalion overseas.
